Event Description: Do you know the federal or state requirements for hiring employees? Do you know how to hire the right people the first time? If you answered no to either of the above questions, then this is the workshop for you. Topics include federal and state hiring requirements, wage and hour/ employment related laws, I-9 compliance, recruiting best practices, determining the cost of hiring an employee and much more. This workshop is intended for businesses with LESS than 50 employees. Cost is $10 per business (maximum of 2 people per business). Payment to be made at the event. Acceptable payments: A check made payable to Shippensburg University SBDC or cash (exact amount). Registration is required, space is limited.
