Event Description: NEW NETWORKING GROUP DEBUTS FOR MID TO SENIOR-LEVEL BUSINESS EXECUTIVES Lancaster County-based nonprofit forms to assist business professionals in networking opportunities In an economy where it is estimated that nearly 80% of jobs are obtained through networking and that according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the average American will change jobs nearly 11 times before the age of 46, it has become increasing important to build and maintain professional business connections. Learning these staggering statistics was the impetus for the creation of a new nonprofit in the Central Pennsylvania region. The organization has been established to provide a forum for mid to senior level business executives to build and develop professional relationships and to assist those currently in career transitions. The Career Professional Executives Networking Group (CPENG) will offer its members valuable opportunities to build diverse and robust business relationships in their communities, by supporting and assisting those members in transition and encouraging all members to network for life. For employed members, meetings will offer the chance to expand business connections, discover new career contacts and create business referrals in a relaxed, informal setting. CPENG was founded by dedicated, multi-disciplined professionals who have led various organizations and networking groups for many years. Their expertise with the transition process and the breadth of their business relationships allows them to provide insightful support and guidance to members who are employed, self-employed and in transition. Meetings will be held monthly in each of five locations including York, Lancaster, Reading, Exton and Blue Bell. The group will hold a kick-off social event: A joint event with the Lancaster, Reading, and York CPENG west chapters will be held Tuesday, October 14 at Loxley’s Restaurant in the Heritage Hotel, (500 Centerville Road) Lancaster from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is preferred walk-ins are welcome.
