Event Description: Did you know that women with dense breasts have an increased risk of breast cancer? Researchers aren’t sure why this correlation exists, however we do know that dense breasts can make it more difficult to find breast cancer on a mammogram. This seminar will provide facts about breast density, how to know if you have dense breasts, and facts on how women with dense breasts should be screened. Sometimes a mammogram isn’t enough. BONUS ACTIVITY: A complimentary 60-minute ballroom dance fitness class. No partner required. Dancing in any form counts as a cardiovascular activity, and three or more cardio workouts per week can help lower breast cancer risk.
