Event Description: An annual event held in conjunction with the Gettysburg Address anniversary. A parade of Civil War living history groups begins at 1:00 p.m. The Gettysburg Foundation presents the 14th Annual Remembrance Illumination at the Soldiers’ National Cemetery. This solemn commemoration features a luminary candle on each of the 3,512 Civil War soldier’s graves. Names of the fallen soldiers will be read throughout the evening. Enter the Cemetery through the gate at Taneytown Road or the gate at Baltimore Street. This non-ticketed event is free and open to the public.
