We are thrilled to welcome our newest team member, Corey Dupree, in the role of Director of J.E.D.I. (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion). Originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Corey Dupree moved to Pennsylvania upon being accepted to attend the Milton Hershey School where he was a student from 2005-2009. After attending MHS, he furthered his education at Penn State University and graduated with a B.A. in Humanities with a focus in Communications to start a cycle by becoming a first-generation college graduate. His work experience and background allowed him to assist organizations with their strategic development, event/project management, equitable sustainability practices, and fundraising strategies. He is the founder of the Layers of Black History organization which focuses on providing books and educational resources to all individuals. His organization has provided over 3,000 free books to organizations around the world since its inception in December 2021. In 2023, he sought to further his impact on communities and created the Men Raising Black Boys Conference series. Through workshops and open panels, the Men Raising Black Boys (MR. BB) Conference powered by Black Men Heal provides a platform for crucial conversations, empowerment, and support for ALL men, regardless of their race or ethnicity, involved in the upbringing and mentorship of Black and Brown boys. His passion for education and mentorship is inherited from his 27+ year connection with his very own Big Brother Big Sister connection, his Big Brother Todd. As proud father of two (Mariah and Corey II) Corey's passion to serve others, specifically the youth within underserved communities, stems from his personal upbringing as well as the impact from volunteering with grassroots organizations. Our Littles tested their stamina and strength against the Pennsylvania State Police Academy obstacle course and gymnasium equipment. The academy instructors and Bigs in Blue mentors shouted encouragement as laughter and cheers filled the room. A special thank you to the Pennsylvania State Police for making today's field trip a memorable experience for our kids! #BiggerTogether

Members of our Cornwall-Lebanon School District High School Bigs program excitedly attended a field trip to the Fort Indiantown Gap Military Base. Our Bigs and Littles were invited to get a close-up view of official Pennsylvania National Guard transportation vehicles as well as their static display, all while learning about the day-to-day maintenance of the base and its lesser-known operations. After touring more of the private base via bus—the range training areas and natural disaster preparation zone of honorable mention—students had the opportunity to experience some of the cadet’s driving training with the help of state-of-the-art simulation technology! A huge thank you to Fort Indiantown Gap for warmly welcoming our students and granting them the special opportunity to actively explore what a local military career has to offer.
