Pennsylvania's Kittatinny Ridge is one of five new U.S. Sentinel Landscapes. These are areas comprised of natural and working lands around military installations. This designation opens new opportunities for land and water conservation, protecting climate resilient areas, and expanding regional partnerships. Central Pennsylvania Conservancy has a long history of protecting the Kittatinny Ridge and we look forward to accomplishing more through the Sentinel Landscape program. https://lnkd.in/ezidZyhp

We're grateful for the community support through Partnership for Better Health's Match Madness! Central Pennsylvania Conservancy will use the funds to repurpose former farm infrastructure into observation platforms and picnic areas at our Letort Spring Garden Preserve (Carlisle) as part of a South Mountain Partnership mini-grant! It was inspiring to see the total support for the 58 participating nonprofit organizations. Thank you to sponsors M&T Bank, WellSpan Health, Josiah H. & Bessie W. Kline Foundation, Penn State Health, and Highmark Inc. for sponsoring this community fundraiser.
