Established in 1975, we pride ourselves in being an employee-owned firm with nearly 200 employees throughout West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Chipper Mellott is a dedicated team leader at Triad Engineering, having been with us for nearly 15 years - his entire career! Hired at 17, Chipper started as a QA/QC technician, testing concrete and soils and earning state accreditation in MD and WV along the way. Today, he serves as our QC Services Supervisor in Hagerstown, providing daily project management, scheduling, and proposal support. Outside of work, Chipper enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing pool. He's also a passionate fan of the Yankees and Steelers. However, nothing beats spending quality time with his girlfriend and their three adorable dogs! Triad Engineering’s New Stanton office is working with design firm, KLH Engineers, to provide concrete testing services for Freeport Borough’s (Armstrong County, PA) new $18.6 million sewage treatment plant. The Triad Construction Services team employs Drone Technology to support multiple service offerings. Currently, our Morgantown and New Stanton offices have a combined half-dozen FAA-licensed drone pilots and utilize this technology for Site Documentation Services. These still images and video products can be easily customized to meet the specific needs of a multitude of projects. The walls are about to be raised for Hagerstown Field House. Anticipated to be completed Fall 2024, the Hagerstown Field House has 2 soccer fields and 4 Gymnasium that can be used for basketball volleyball, pickleball, field hockey, wrestling, and more. The Fieldhouse will also house a fitness room, group exercise room, food court and play area. The 114,000sqft indoor sports facility has already garnered local, regional, and national interest for leagues and tournaments for all ages, as well as youth summer camps. Environmental Services – Strouds Grocery Store Triad Engineering was hired to conduct a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) for the former Strouds Grocery Store in Dunlow, Wayne County, WV. The owner proposes to redevelop the existing approximately 4,500 square foot, two-story building and adjoining parking lot for a mixed-use general store, fuel station, and restaurant. The store will provide hardware supplies, ATV parts, fuel, convenience store items, and an electric car charging station. The second floor of the structure will remain residential. The purpose of the Phase I ESA was to identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs), Controlled Recognized Environmental Conditions (CRECs), and Historical Recognized Environmental Conditions (HRECs).
