A Gift of Smiles is a 501(c)3 foundation established to simplify and broaden the access to dental healthcare for people within the central Pennsylvania community who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Issue:

More than 12.5 million children and adults in the U.S. have special healthcare needs and dental care is the greatest unmet need for them to obtain. Those with intellectual or developmental disabilities face many challenges, making it difficult, or even impossible to maintain good oral health. Many times families are unable to find access to or afford proper dental care for their loved ones which complicates the health of the child or adult. Patients with disabilities who need care the most often go with out the oral healthcare services they desperately need. The time to address this issue is now. A Gift Of Smiles foundation is here to help!

How We Help:

Our mission is to enable families to receive proper dental care for their loved ones with disabilities. We are committed to improving the lives of our patients and their families by providing accessible, comprehensive and compassionate dental care.

Who We Serve: 

Since our first patient was treated in 2015, A Gift Of Smiles has treated over 167 patients and provided over $495,000 worth of dental treatment at no cost to their families. We are happy to help our patients and families have one less worry and the smiles of our patients be the measure of our impact.

At this time A Gift of Smiles foundation provides dental services for qualified individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities living in the central Pennsylvania area with a focus on those who reside in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry or York County. We currently accept patients for care under the age of 30.
