Event Description: The World Affairs Council of Harrisburg in cooperation with Elizabethtown College and Muslims-Christians United of Lehigh Valley, will feature Dr. Kenneth Cragg, author of "Christians and Muslims: From History to Healing," at a forum at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the college's Leffler Chapel. The Reverend Doctor Kenneth B. Cragg has served fifty years as a Presbyterian clergyman and college professor. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, a master's degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary. Ken is an Adjunct Professor at Northampton Community College. He and his wife, Willa, live in Kirkland Village, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Doctor Cragg's book, "Christians and Muslims: From History to Healing" traces the history of Islam to help Christians see faithful Muslims not as terrorist stereotypes but as potential partners for peace. It lays bare the distortions terrorists claim as truth, filling in what many don't know about Islam. The book then describes a process by which Christians and Muslims can work together to build strong communities based on the call in both faith traditions to love God and neighbor.
