Herman President, American Civil Liberties Union 6:30 p.m. March 29, 2012 Widener University School of Law 3800 Vartan Way Harrisburg, PA 17106 Discuss the repercussions of the war on terror on privacy and civil liberties at the next Great Female Author dinner with Susan N. Herman. Herman was elected President of the American Civil Liberties Union in October 2008 after having served on the ACLU National Board of Directors for twenty years, as a member of the Executive Committee for sixteen years, and as General Counsel for ten years. She is author of "The War on Terror and the Erosion of American Democracy" and "Terrorism, Government and Law: National Authority and Local Autonomy in the War on Terror."
