Event Description: As is traditional at Historic Peace Church, we will again observe the most solemn of Christian days, Good Friday, with an ecumenical service at noon, Friday March 29. We are fortunate again to welcome the Rev. Anne Myers to be our leader in worship. The Rev. Anne is currently Spiritual Director for the Homeland Hospice, a position she finds both challenging and rewarding. Previously she spent 17 years as assistant pastor of the Pine Street Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, as well as several years as chaplain for the state prison at Camp Hill. We welcome her back and look forward to her message. As usual, music plays a significant part of this special service. Peace Church music director Norma Swain will be at the 1807 Conrad Doll organ, and very specially, popular tenor, Christyan Seay, will sing his renditions of two or three well known Good Friday/Eastertide hymns. We encourage members and friends and others looking to have a meaningful Good Friday observance to join us. We look forward to greeting you at the start of our 2013 Season. Bring friends.
