Event Description: The 8th annual Fredricksen Library Loop 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk presented by Holy Spirit Health System will be held rain or shine on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Check-in and registration for both the 5K race and the Fun Run & Walk begins at 7 a.m. Start time for the 5K Race is at 8:20 a.m. and the 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk starts at 8:25 a.m. Registration and parking for this important library fundraising event will be at the Camp Hill United Methodist Church parking lot, 417 22nd Street, Camp Hill, PA. Participation in the Fredricksen Library Loop continues to grow, and is eagerly anticipated by both runners and walkers throughout Central Pennsylvania and beyond. Last year’s event was a tremendous success, with over 330 runners and walkers participating. There will be cash prizes for the top three male/female finishers overall, medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male/female finishers in each age group (excluding the overall winners, and a trophy for the winning team of five or more! Online registration is available at www.Active.com (Search Fredricksen). Numerous sponsorship levels are available. Pre-registration fees for the 5K race are $20 per runner until June 30th. From July 1 through race-day (July 27th), the registration fee is $25 per runner. Only pre-registered 5K runners will receive a race tee-shirt. Teams of five discount: $75. Performance tees with front logo only available for an additional $20 (pre-registered only). The pre-registration fee for the 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk is $12 per participant until June 30th and includes a tee shirt. From July 1 through July 27, registration for the 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk is $15 per participant. As always, racers and walkers of all ages are welcome and strollers are allowed on the walk route. Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult on the Fun Run/Walk course. Registration forms are available at the library, or can be downloaded from our website. Exceptions: No bicycles, dogs, roller blades or skateboards on course. Strollers welcome! Race Results: The “Library Loop 5k Race is coordinated by the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, a registered not-for-profit 501©3 organization. All proceeds benefit the Library. Race results will be posted soon after the event at www.fredricksenlibrary.org through September 2013.
